RHOP's Candiace Dillard Sparks Debate Over Uber Expectations

ZERO Stars? RHOP’s Candiace Dillard Sparks Debate Over Uber Expectations

Never the stranger to speaking her mind, Candiace Dillard Bassett of The Real Housewives of Potomac took to Twitter to express an issue that she had during a recent ride to the airport.

“No Stars” For Uber Drive Who Didn’t Assist With Bag

The reality star, also an acclaimed R&B singer, popped things off on Thursday morning after tweeting that she wholeheartedly expects her Uber drivers to help take down her luggage if she’s being dropped off at the airport.

Not stopping there, she said that a driver’s failure to be of assistance would result in a flat-out 0-star rating.

If I’m traveling via Uber in your car to the airport and you don’t help me with my bags, you’re getting no stars. Like. What kind of Uber driver doesn’t help with bags? You see I’m going to the airport. And you just watch me struggle with my bags?

Humorously, Candiace also unabashedly owned that this was an example of “first world problems,” though she was still going to “complain freely.”

I’m going to start a series called “First World Problems” so that I can complain freely.

Fans Go Back & Forth Over Candiace’s Tweets

These statements sparked quite the conversation, as many people went on to slam the “Drive Back” singer’s stance.

Some alleged that, unless she ordered the more-luxurious Uber Black, it’s not the driver’s job to help with luggage.

A few commenters brought up that drivers who don’t assist with one’s bags may actually have a disability, and a 0-star rating could negatively impact their livelihood.

On the other end of the spectrum, others responded to the backlash by saying that a paid driver helping with bags is “common courtesy.”

In response to how much steam her tweets picked up, Candiace politely thanked everyone for engaging in a “healthy debate.”

However, staying true to form, she also took a moment to clap back at a couple of critics.

The RHOP star also seemingly tried to seize the opportunity by going on to suggest a “new debate” centered around some Saweetie-esque food choices: jelly on hash browns.

What’s your stance on Candiace’s argument, and would you give an Uber driver 0 stars for failing to help with your airport luggage?
