10 Times The Men Shut Down The Met Gala 2022 Red Carpet

Much like every Met Gala, individuality came alive at tonight’s rendition of fashion’s biggest annual event! And while folks might’ve expected the ladies to snatch the moment, some of the industry’s most popping male celebrities understood, aced and even recreated the gala’s assignment!

As previously reported, the 2022 Met Gala featured the theme In America: An Anthology of Fashion. Gilded glamour was the dress code, meaning the looks had to give classic, clean-cut looks that fall under white tie.

Here’s 10 looks that ATE and left nothing behind but camera clicks and sick pics!

Ashton Sanders

Gold me out! Ashton Sanders stepped on the Met Gala carpet wearing the brand Casablanca. His fit seemed to combine royalty and casual with what appeared to be a jean-like material. Both the long-sleeved jacket and pants featured gold trimmings. Ashton accessorized with dark, gold-trimmed sunglasses, gold gloves, gold binoculars and black shoes with a gold tip design. To top off the look, he popped in some light blue contacts!

Gunna

Gunna nailed the theme with a Thom Browne design that included a black suit with a trench-like jacket. His ensemble featured gold, vine trimmings. He accessorized the look with a bedazzled purse in the shape of a puppy. Even the puppy purse was dressed to impress with a suit and tie!

Leslie Odom Jr.

Leslie Odom Jr. kept his look real classic with defined cuts that gave his suited look just the right amount of pizzazz. He wore a black suit with sleeves a little past his elbow, but still above his wrists. The suit jacket also stopped right at his waist and featured a deep V cut with a medium-sized black flower adorning its right side. He completed his look with a weaved, black hat!

Jack Harlow

Jack Harlow went with the classic Givenchy suit look, but with a lil’ extra shine throughout, even down to the shoes! No fancy accessories, but he did have his loose curls sitting right.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II landed the Met’s dress code with ease in his Thom Browne look! His outfit’s focus point was the suit jacket adorned with black-and-gold flowers, a long coattail and fitted, cut at the waist.

Future

Future added his own flair to the Met Gala’s assignment with his Boss brand suit. He went for the white tie cut on the suit jacket, including a deep, velvet V-neck. His name was stitched into the jacket’s pocket. Future paired the suit jacket with matching dress shorts, extra shiny dress shoes and tall black socks. In true Future fashion, he brought along his dark sunglasses and accessorized with a black, glitzy mask and diamond gloves.

Bad Bunny

In his typical style, Bad Bunny went bold with his look for the Met! With his hair in a bun and decorated with gold accessories, the Latin star ditched the standard suit and tie. Instead, he went for a golden, full body, one-piece with puffed shoulders and long sleeves. Underneath the v-neck piece, Bad Bunny wore a collared shirt and black tie.

Fredrik Robertsson

Fredrik Robertsson stole the show at Met Gala, but it wasn’t under his own name initially. In fact, when he first graced the carpet a few media outlets misidentified him as Jared Leto. Still, Fredrik’s Iris van Herpen look definitely lived up to the hype!

Kid Cudi

But when we’re talking about understanding and acing the assignment, that was Kid Cudi’s lane at the 2022 Met Gala! The star went for a royal blue, suited look that was topped off with a floor-length cape that served every bit of a Bridgerton lord.
