WATCH: LisaRaye Defends Chris Brown After His Alleged Altercations With Usher & Teyana Taylor

LisaRaye discussed the alleged altercation between Chris Brown and Usher during a recent episode of ‘Cocktails with Queens.’

During the episode, fellow host Claudia Jordan explained that she feels Chris Brown is “babied a lot by the Black community,” and because of that, he isn’t always held accountable for his actions.

However, LisaRaye had a different view on the matter.

“Why he gotta chill? Why he gotta chill? What if he felt just like what he said? ‘F—her!’ What if he felt like that? And he was saying that to his friend?”

The actor explained that “every time” Chris Brown’s name is mentioned concerning a public incident, he “always gets automatically blamed.”

“Because he is that way — we know him to be that — so ‘it gotta be him.’ That’s what I don’t like — when people have that kind of stigma because I got that…”

The actor explained that it’s “quick” for people to think she may have said or done something negative because of her past actions, and she doesn’t like that for herself or others.

“And I don’t like that because that very next time, it could have been different, but you blame me because of my past.”

Jordan then rebutted the actor by explaining that there were multiple instances of Chris Brown appearing to be involved in heating altercations that weekend.

Additionally, Jordan explained that despite the negative stigma surrounding Chris Brown, it’s up to him to “change the narrative.”

Social media users quickly shared their thoughts on LisaRaye’s stance in the comment section of The Shade Room’s Instagram post.

One user, @shan_white86, remained neutral on the matter.

“I don’t have an opinion either way cause Chris not usher have said anything about it so they must be good. Keep making music guys! Lol”

While another user, @briahnicole, agreed with the actor.

“Not a single lie and y’all do this to more than Chris Brown. My opinion: it was HIS party so if someone’s there that he doesn’t want there, that’s his mf prerogative.”

Instagram user, @1domineik, stuck with the facts surrounding the alleged altercation.

“I get both sides. But we know nothing”

While another user, @dazlovelocdin, completely disagreed.

“The lack of accountability and excuses is why behaviors for people continue. It is enabling. Some people don’t need defending. They do need to be encouraged to seek help, therapy, and/or rehab tho.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Chris Brown appeared to be involved in multiple incidents throughout his birthday weekend.

Most recently, the 34-year-old responded to reports of being involved in a heated dispute after his performance at the Lovers & Friends festival.

“y’all been geeked all weekend, y’all dragging it now. It was mad people backstage and security was trying to clear everyone off the stage. People started pushing back. I INTERVENED to let them know MY CHILD WAS BACK THERE. So y’all can keep ya narrative.”

Before this, muted footage showed the moments before Brown’s alleged altercation with Usher.

The footage circulated after Hollywood Unlocked reported the alleged scuffle between Brown and Usher. According to the outlet, Brown “got disrespectful” with Teyana Taylor at his 34th birthday party, which prompted Usher to step in in her defense.

Later that evening, Chris Brown and his crew allegedly left the party venue, which prompted Usher to follow. After he returned to the venue, he was reportedly seen with a bloody nose. However, all parties involved in the events that evening have not confirmed the alleged events of that night nor released any statements.
