Sofía Vergara and husband Joe Manganiello are reportedly filing for divorce after seven years of marriage together, Page Six reports.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the soon-to-be former couple told the outlet.
The outlet also cited a source close to the couple, saying the two have “been growing apart for a while now.”

The two actors began dating in 2014, according to CNN. And within six months of seeing each other, they became engaged.
The “Modern Family” star married Manganiello in Palm Beach in 2015, with upwards of 400 guests in attendance, per Page Six. Sofía Vergara memorialized the occasion in a series of wedding pictures posted to her Instagram page.

Last month, The pair were spotted together in New Jersey on the set of Manganiello’s upcoming comedy film, “Nonnas.”
Meanwhile, Vergara seemingly celebrated her 51st birthday in Capri, Italy, with friends and no Joe.
Citing another source close to the couple, Page Six claims Sophia initially attempted to “explain away Joe’s absence with the excuse that he was busy filming back on the East Coast.”
“That excuse barely held up due to the writer’s strike, but once the actor’s strike took effect, he could have been on the first flight… and he quite clearly is not,” the source reportedly said.

Manganiello’s Happy Birthday Post To Wife Catches Flack From Fans Before News Of Divorce
Earlier this month, Manganiello posted an otherwise inconspicuous photo on Instagram, wishing his wife a happy birthday.
“¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” the caption read.
However, fans quickly pointed out the lack of romantic superlatives in the 46-year-old’s post.
“Am I the only one who doesn’t like the way it sounds? “ Sofía”…. not even “ My love, My beloved wife,” one fan commented. “Not everybody in this comment section being right💔💔💔” another wrote.
“This is why you said Sofía. You were not even together 😭” a third commented. “Something is off. Cold message for her and has two stories about his dog’s birthday. And Sofía has not even said thank you,” another posted.
Page Six reports that Sofía Vergara was previously married to Joe Gonzalez from 1991 to 1993. The outlet reports that she reportedly met Manganiello while still engaged to businessman and actor Nick Loeb.
