As The Shade Room reported, she shared numerous uploads back in the early summer to commemorate the trip, and she definitely went all out.
All things considered, she said the event offered “an amazing first visit” to Bermuda, and Ashanti looked proud as a peacock as she rocked the carnival costume!
Making An Impact With “Mesmerize”
Moving along to her discography, we must pay tribute to the vibes that Ashanti cooked up alongside Ja Rule in “Mesmerize.”
From her lovely (and spicy) melodies to the Grease-themed music video and fairground aesthetics, the duo slid on the track and made it an instant classic that’s sure to flood listeners with memories.

Proudly Rekindling Her Nelly Romance
Of course, we’d be remiss to not mention Ashanti and Nelly bringin’ the HEAT during a concert performance.
As The Shade Room reported, the artists cranked up the heat last year during Power 98.3 and Power 96.1‘s “Under The Mistletoe” concert, as they performed “Body On Me” together.
The interaction — along with some other developments — sparked speculation of a rekindled romance, which Nelly later confirmed during a sit-down with Rasheeda Frost. It’s also worth noting that Ashanti rocked a throwback photo of her and Nelly on her clutch at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. IKTR!

In 2008, Ashanti unveiled the music video for “The Way That I Love You,” and — while some enjoyed the captivating, crime-inspired piece — others were left stunned in a more negative way.
According to Rolling Stone, some critics accused the music video of “glorifying violence,” as it was focused on a scorned woman confronting an unfaithful lover before brutally killing him.
While some were taken aback, the vast majority of listeners continued to lose themselves in Ashanti’s mystifying melodies, and the track goes strong to this day.
