The world is mourning the loss of one of the realest people any of us have had the guilty pleasure of enjoying on reality tv. Angela ‘Big Ang’ Raiola got called home at 3:01 a.m. this morning after ending her battle with stage 4 cancer. She leaves behind two children, six grandchildren and a host of extended friends and family.
Big Ang was a fan favorite, because she always kept it real, friend or foe! She also acted as the glue that bonded the oftentimes volatile Mob Wives cast together– sort of like their version of a Big Momma! This woman was always the life of the party as she puffed her brown cigarettes and turned up at The Drunken Monkey! Ang threw a lot of parties over the years for her loved ones as she always encouraged having a “good time”.
We will forever miss your humor, wisdom and good food, Big Ang! Roommates, let’s take a look at some little known facts about the reality star as we celebrate her life today!
1.) Next to her stature, Big Ang got her name as a child for her “larger than life” personality! As you can see, that big personality has carried over into her career, causing many people to fall for her humor!
2.) Her ex-husband Neil adored her. In an interview with the Staten Island Advance a couple of years ago, a newly smitten Neil shared details about why he was in love with Ang.
3.) Did you know how Ang got her signature raspy voice? She visited Sway last year and told him, actually!
4.) Ang proudly showed off her double-J sized boobs! She’s referred to them as her “lethal weapons” before in a funny story she told to friend, Wendy Wiliams. When she visited Bethenny Frankel’s show, she explained how she was comfortable with the big size… Something tells me Ang would definitely go bigger if she was still here!
5.) Ang was loyal to the end and her peers had the upmost respect for her for that.
