Controversial at best, Yiannopoulos is a conservative British writer for the Breitbart News Network and held no words back when he visited Rutgers University on Tuesday. He gave a speech about how “college campuses have become too hypersensitive and politically correct,” according to NJ.com. When Yiannopoulos ended his speech, the crowd allegedly went wild with applause, but some students were not here for the slap in the face. This man literally tried to silence people that are oppressed!!
To show how unsupportive they are of his ideologies, Rutgers University students smeared fake blood on their faces in protest. However, since the protests ensued, there have allegedly been heightened cases of death and rape threats as well as various bouts with racial discrimination. They have addressed a letter to the community:
Student Sara Rosen, who is of Jewish descent, came back to her dorm one day only to find a swastika taped to the ceiling. Even though her roommate confessed to placing it there, he won’t take it down and the cops can’t make him. They along with Rutgers University have allegedly dismissed the vandalism as “free speech” which leaves this young lady to be left with an apparent racist. Rosen wrote a detailed Facebook post dedicated to the administration at Rutgers University which you can view here!
