Here’s What Ne-Yo Said About “Dating Multiple Women”
According to TMZ, the outlet caught up with the singer in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, April 18. At the time, Ne-Yo was strolling through The Grove shopping center with two of his girlfriends.
The interview began with the reporter asking Ne-Yo how he feels about polygamous marriages being illegal. In response, the singer explained that he feels the government should “let people do whatever” they want to do in the “realm of love and romance.”
When asked if he would “want” to get married to multiple women, Ne-Yo explained that he was unsure.
“I don’t know, it depends on the situation,” he explained. “…At the end of the day, the people I love know I love them.”
From there, the reporter asked why Ne-Yo hadn’t released songs about loving multiple women.
“I mean, the songs come out depending on the situation and the circumstance,” he said. “This is the first time I’ve been in a relationship or situation like this, so songs about it will come to pass — they’ll come.”
Lastly, the reporter asked Ne-Yo if he “recommends the situation he’s in now.”
“No, no,” the singer said. “I don’t recommend anything to anybody — what works for me might not work for you and vice versa, so find out what works for you.”
Before the interview concluded, Ne-Yo’s girlfriends were asked if they’d like to be married in a polyamorous ceremony.
