Cam Newton Gets Real About Settling Down
Recently, the former NFL player sat down with Dr. Cheyenne Bryant on his ‘Funky Friday’ podcast, where he opened up about his thoughts on marriage, divorce, and his wish to continue expanding his family. During the conversation, Cam Newton revealed that he has eight children with three different women and wants to have more.
“A lot of people see my situation and think that I’m not high functioning,” Newton told Dr. Bryant. However, when she asked if he wanted more children, he simply said he wanted “God to bring them.”

Cam Newton then went on to explain that his “desire to get married is lower than his fear of divorce,” which is causing him to “take his time.” Dr. Bryant explained to Cam that he wasn’t taking his time. Instead, he’s being “very action-based.” She continued to enlighten him, pointing out that he’s actually being “very selectively active.”
“You are proactively choosing where you want to be active at and where you wanna take your time. You wanna take your time in having a wife because of your own fears, but you will selfishly create broken families, even if your in their life,” Dr. Bryant stated.
Dr. Cheyenne Bryant continued to put Cam on game, telling him that some, if not all, of his children will face challenges without his consistent presence. She also mentioned that his selfish actions stem from his fear.

Details On Cam’s Children & Their Mothers
As The Shade Room previously reported, Cam Newton had his eighth child with comedian Jasmin Brown in March of this year.
Although the NFL superstar has not publicly acknowledged the newborn on social media, Jasmine has continued to share updates about the toddler, and photos of both Jasmine and Cam have appeared throughout her pregnancy.
However, photos of Jasmine and Cam’s bundle of joy have not been released, and details about the baby’s gender remain unknown.
As mentioned, Newton has seven children other children. He has five biological kids with Kia Proctor and La Reina Shaw. Additionally, he adopted the children from previous relationships of both women and raised them as his own.
