Looks like Jamaica will be next my next travel destination because the Cannabis Licensing Authority in the country just proposed an idea that would have 4/20 lovers in heaven right when they walk off the plane!
According to Complex, the CLA plans to install marijuana kiosk’s in ALL airports and even seaports! Now before you get too hyped up the rules still apply in Jamaica as they do here, you’re going to need to have your medical marijuana on hand if you’re trying to take a couple puffs, but if you don’t have one Jamaica is still after you.
“It would primarily be for people who have a prescription and, in effect, you’re doing it for medicinal purposes with a permit from the Ministry of Health,” chairman Hyacinth Lightbourne told the Jamaica Gleaner. If you don’t have a medical condition, there’s an option for that. He continued, “If they don’t have a prescription, then they can do what we call ‘self-declare,’ and this will allow them to have the two ounces while they are here.”
