A Chicago couple was left terrified after they found out that a burglar had entered their home while they were sleeping. He stood over the couple for about five minutes and watched them sleep before running off with the woman’s purse, and they had no clue until they watched their surveillance cameras.
According to NYDN here’s what the couple had to say,
“We realized what had happened, and we were both like, ‘What the hell, is this real?’” Jack Mackercher told Chicago’s DNA Info.
“It was really quite creepy, especially when you see that happen in your house.”
This scary encounter happened Monday morning when Mackercher and his boo fell asleep while doing some laundry.
The couple had no idea someone had been in their home until Jordan Buranskas couldn’t find her purse.
“We actually got into a little bit of an argument about it. He thought I left it at the restaurant the night before,” she told ABC affiliate WLS-TV.
To end the argument, Mackercher went straight to the footage and was speechless.
“He stood there for about five minutes the first time, then walked away, then came back and hovered over us again for another five minutes,” Buranskas said.
The couple eventually called police and plan to take extra precautionary measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
