Specifically, Wale speaks on the sacrifices he’s made to pursue stardom, and why he wants to “build with somebody.” And he also shares why he feels he may have even lost out on the opportunity to find love. In addition, Wale opens up about growing up in a Nigerian household, his family’s reaction to his unconventional career path, and his mental health. Why Wale Regrets His Dating Choices
About nine minutes into the interview, Wale opened up about feeling like he gave “everything” to the music industry. Additionally, he says he feels like he sacrificed his opportunity to be “loved properly.”
“I lost out on the opportunity to really, like, love [and] to be loved properly,” he said. “There was probably great women that I probably couldn’t give it a real chance to because I was so busy trying to make the perfect song to chase these imperfect dreams.”

Furthermore, when asked what type of woman would blow his mind, Wale explained that he desires a woman who gives him grace with his busy schedule. He also said he desires a woman who is anxiety-calming, patient, and prayerful.

“I put my everything into ‘Everything’s A Lot.’ And I know there’s so many peope who ain’t heard it yet. So I just hope that whoever watches this gives it a spin because what they’re saying is like, since it came out, it’s been part of certain people’s day,” he explained.
