The 13-year-old also explained that she wanted to make a statement about her faith during her first headlining performance in Chicago amid the online criticism. North said she chose an all-white outfit to represent light and make it clear that she believes in Jesus.
“I was like, if I’m gonna do my first show ever, I gotta come in like an angel in all white,” she explained. North went on to reject the speculation surrounding her beliefs, adding, “You guys know I’m not on that demon stuff. I believe in Jesus. That’s how I came, to show you guys I’m actually a light, not dark.”
