2020 was definitely one of the longest years we’ve seen thus far, Roomies, and we know some of y’all are itching to bring in the new year with nothing but good vibes. Well, Tinashe had a word for folks planning on hitting up parties for celebrate leaving 2020 behind.
In normal years, we know y’all hit the clubs or even house parties with your family and friends but we are very much still in a pandemic and Tinashe is not here for the party plans.
“For all the people planning on partying going into 2021 after the year we just had…y’all some weirdo’s fr,” she tweeted.
We reposted her tweet and some fans questioned Tinashe’s message, saying there’s nothing wrong with having some fun especially with all of the turmoil 2020 brought us. Well, Tinashe stepped into The Shade Room to clarify what she said.
“I specifically means like in groups like at the club etc… y’all be safe out there tho,” she wrote.
While some commenters bashed Tinashe for being a negative Nancy, others stood by her message, saying that no amount of partying or a good time is worth your health. COVID-19 is still very much outside, and gathering in large groups is not recommended during this time.
