Petty Boots! Akon Goes Viral For Singing ‘Locked Up’ During A Man’s Arrest (WATCH)

Chile! Imagine getting arrested, and Akon is in your ear singing to you about it?! Well, that’s exactly what happened when the singer teamed up with YouTube personality Vitaly Zdorovetskiy. In a circulating clip, Akon’s mic was definitelyON while he sang ‘Locked Up.’

Akon Strapped On His Petty Boots With This Performance

The viral video is less than a minute long, but there’s SO MUCH going on! Akon and Vitaly appeared to be a park-like area surrounded by greenery, including palm trees. Vitaly is seen dressed in what looks like a traditional Native American skirt and headpiece while his shirt is off.

Meanwhile, Akon pulled up wearing jeans, a white polo shirt, and a matching white baseball cap. Vitaly handed the singer the mic while he held the Bluetooth speaker.

Nearby, two cops dressed in their uniforms were seemingly placing handcuffs on the detainee. “He’s about to get locked up,” AK sang while smiling into the camera with his dark sunglasses on!

The detainee’s face was not shown in the viral clip, given that he had his back turned to the camera. However, the dark-haired, light-skinned man was wearing green shorts, a multi-blue t-shirt and sandals.

As the cops walked the man away from the camera, Akon’s impromptu concert continued while Vitaly vibed out in the background!

See what happened for yourself down below.

Daily Loud’s repost of the video on X (formerly Twitter) has over 150 comments and more than 2,900 likes. Some users, like @royal_bobby24 and @Ho*sLuvSoul, labeled the ‘Catch A Predator’ videos “weird.” Others, like @HeyYoGB, called it “content.”Meanwhile, @symaeon added that it was“too funny,”and @beardednursedad wrote,“Going out with a banger, I see.”

Here’s What Else We Know About The Viral Arrest

Additional details about Akon, Vitaly, and the detainee’s location, the reason for the arrest, and the detainee’s personal information remain unclear. Some social media users and media outlets, including The Express Tribune and HotNewHipHop, have attributed the arrest to an alleged case of pedophilia.

To add, less than 24 hours ago, Akon shared a promotional poster to his Instagram Story. The poster showed the singer and Vitaly riding on horses under a huge headline stating, ‘Catching Predators With Akon.’ Additionally, one line of text read, “10 Nights Of Takedowns.”

Still, The Shade Room cannot confirm whether the arrests in the Kick-sponsored segment are legitimate or pranks Vitaly cooked up. The YouTuber is known as a prankster via his channel, including for similar scenarios. Note that ten years ago, in December 2013, Vitaly shared a four-minute video titled ‘How To Catch A Predator Prank.’

Rapper Lil Pump also appeared in a similar “catching child predators” segment with Vitaly earlier this week.
