Roomies, Alexis Ohanian is reminding folks exactly who he is and lets just say, hes not the one or the two when it comes to defending his name and his wife, Serena Williams. After catching strays from Stephen A. Smith earlier this year, Alexis circled back with the kind of calm, calculated clapbacks that only a tech mogul with time and confidence can deliver. Now, all eyes are on him, and let’s just say… he understood the assignment.
Back in February, Serena Williams made a surprise cameo during Kendrick Lamars Super Bowl halftime performance, hitting the c-walk during the track ‘Not Like Us,’ a song many saw as a shot at her alleged ex, Drake. The internet lit up, but it was Stephen A Smith who had a lot to say the day after the show. On ‘First Take,’ the 57-year-old commentator criticized Williams decision to appear in the performance, saying:
“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**. ‘Cause clearly you don’t belong with me. What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye. Bye.”
But, Ohanian wasnt done clearing the air. He also fired back at Jason Whitlock, who had previously labeled him a true beta. Whitlock also questioned why he was mad at him instead of his wife C*** walking and still thinking about Drake. Ohanians clapback was surgical: I get ityoure 57, and life didnt turn out the way you imagined Youre the embodiment of peaked in high school. He even encouraged Whitlock to start working on him, and added, If you wake up every morning trying to be a little better you wont have time for irrational hating youll be too busy winning.
