On Friday, November 21, TMZ published an exclusive report asserting that the former Nickelodeon star spoke with the outlet addressing a recent viral clip. Furthermore, she reportedly explained that the circulating clip “was not made by her” and was “altered.” Specifically, a viral clip appeared to show Bynes sitting in a restaurant with an on-screen caption that read, “THE MAN I GOT PREGNANT WITH HIM AT THE AGE OF 13 [crying emoji]”
Then, the clip cut to behind-the-scenes footage of a young Amanda Bynes seated in a hottub alongside Dan Schneider. Additionally, the on-screen caption read, “PLEASE WATCH THIS… I’M SORRY FOR NOT MAKING YOUR CHILDHOOD HAPPY AGAIN! [sad face emoji]”
Bynes reportedly explained to the outlet that the clip appears to be spliced up footage of “some of her social media videos to make up ‘lies for click bait.'” Speficially, she noted that the first clip that appears to show her in a restaurant was “ripped” and edited “from a recent Instagram Story she posted.” Meanwhile, some viewers would remember the jacuzzi clip from footage of ‘Amanda’s Jacuzzi’ segment from ‘The Amanda Show.’
To note, the clip appeared to originate from a now-deleted TikTok account, @amandabynesupdates.

But Amanda Bynes apparently didn’t stop addressing the internet misconceptions there. Additionally, on Sunday, November 23, she took to her Instagram account to share a selfie and a short message about fake accounts.
“I don’t have Tik Tok. Someone is taking my content + posting lies as though they’re me for click bait. I tried contacting Tik Tok to take down the account but they haven’t done it yet,” she wrote.
Furthermore, Bynes appeared to be speaking on the TikTok account @amandabynes1986. The account has garnered over 466,000 followers and even shared a post denouncing the viral hot tub clip as if it was Bynes.
