Angela White Gets Real About What Led To Split From Derrick Milano
In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Angela White kept it real about why she and Derrick Milano decided to end their engagement. She said she’s in a good space and it was a mutual agreement. The reality star also noted that they are moving in two different directions, but infidelity was definitely not a reason for the breakup.
“I feel like sometimes in life people try to hold onto certain things, but I’m going in a different direction than Derrick. We’re both doing our own things. Nothing happened, nobody cheated,” Angela explained.
Angela also said that thought the decision was the best as she wants to focus on herself right now. “I just really need to focus on myself and my kids, and my spirituality. And everything that comes with that.”
Angela said that even though her and Derrick ended things, she still wants to get married one day and believes her soulmate is out there and she’s probably already met them. However, she added that she’s not interested in meeting anyone new right now.

Angela Reveals Where She & Derrick Stand After Their Breakup
Derrick and Angela started dating in May 2023. In October 2024, Derrick popped the big question to Angela at Howard University’s Homecoming. But just under a year later, they decided to end things. Angela shocked fans when she posted about their breakup on her Instagram Stories in July. The 37-year-old wrote a lengthy message saying that after some “prayer and reflection,” they thought it was best to call off their engagement. Despite the decision, White said she and Derrick are still good friends.
“We both believe that God’s guidance has shown us that his is the right path for both of us, as we each continue our journeys. May we find peace and fulfillment in His divine will, trusting that His pain is greater than our own, Angela White wrote.
