August Alsina is grateful for his fans’ support during his “unique path” in life. On Friday (August 30), he expressed these sentiments to his X following. His comments follows a month of openness about his sexuality and his reported relationship with Zu in the last two years.

In less than 24 hours, August Alsina’s message has received abundant love, including over 600 retweets, more than 6,000 likes, and at least 373,000 views.
“I wish y’all knew how much I genuinely love y’all. I don’t have a lot of friends.. my whole life has been that way cus I’m constantly on the move, changing, evolving, growing, & out-growing old chapters and old-me’s,” August wrote.
He added that we all walk a “unique life path,” and though that can feel cold and isolating, his fans have kept him going. “I hope y’all know just how much you truly make my life WARM, BRIGHT & fulfilled,” August wrote on X.

Singer Jokes With Fan About His Sexuality Amid His Romantic Connection With Zu
Also, on his X timeline, the singer took a moment to laugh at a jokey joke about his sexuality and past music.
On Thursday, @colecaine_ posted, “August Alsina music still slap. You gay b***h you.” The post racked up thousands of views (3.2 million on Friday) and landed on the singer’s radar. August later responded with a string of eight laughing and one swirly eye emojis.
Note that @colecaine_ later clarified that his post was meant to be funny and not a dig at August’s love life choices or people who identify as gay. Alsina later reposted the fan’s clarification.
What’s Tea With Alsina & Zu?
Earlier this month, August refused to confine his bond with Zu to gender and sexuality labels. Additionally, he said their connection had formed thanks to a higher power, such as God, opening his heart.
“So it’s like, when people want you to define yourself as whether you’re gay, straight, bisexual, or whatever it is you was just talking about, love is much more complex than that and has much more depth,” Alsina said. “So for me, I’m just the kind of person that, because love is a language, I’m fluent in love when it speaks to me.”

As mentioned, Zu and August Alsina have been romantically linked in the public eye for nearly two years.
During an episode of his reality show in November 2022, August introduced Zu as the man teaching him about “love and healing.” The singer was adamant about giving his lover his flowers “in front of the world.”
Most recently, the presumed lovers enjoyed a cozy summer outing on the water. Zu has yet to give any public comments on the extent of their bond.
