The 31-Year-Old Announces Fyre Festival II’s Ticket Sale

According to Entertainment Weekly, McFarland took to YouTube on Sunday to share the ticket sale announcement with the world. In the minute-long video, he expressed that it was a “big day.”

Additionally, he explained that his “seventh-month stint in solitary confinement” inspired his “plan to make the impossible happen.”

“What’s up, guys? This is a big day,” McFarland said to the camera. “Because as of right now, Fyre Festival II tickets are officially on sale. It has been the absolute wildest journey to get here, and it really all started during a seventh-month stint in solitary confinement. I wrote out this 50-page plan of how it would take this overall interest and demand in Fyre and how it would take my ability bring people from around the world together to make the impossible happen.”

McFarland continued by explaining that he found the “best partners in the world” to allow him to be himself and ultimately bring Fyre Festival “back to the Caribbean.”

“We are targeting Fyre Festival II for the end of next year. In the meantime, we’ll be doing pop-ups in events across the world,” McFarland explained. “Guys, this is your chance to get in. This is everything I’ve been working towards…”

More Information About The Upcoming Festival

McFarland’s announcement video directly links to the Fyre Festival II’s official website. As of Tuesday, the website confirms that the festival will be held on December 6, 2024, in the Caribbean Sea.

Additionally, the website adds that the “first 100 tickets” have been sold out. The initial tickets reportedly included “1 ticket to FYRE Festival II and access to FYRE Pop-Ups, Experiences, and The FYRE Crew Community.”

As viewers look at the additional ticket tiers labeled “coming soon,” they’ll notice that it is split into six separate sections. Furthermore, ticket prices currently range from $799 to $7,999.

A note under the “overview” section of the website adds that prices will “go up as tickets are sold.”

The website also features a brief disclaimer.

“Disclaimer: FFII date is subject to change. Pre-events and pop-ups to be announced, but FYRE will host a minimum of 4 events prior to FFII.”

More Information Regarding The Original Fyre Festival & Billy McFarland’s Initial Arrest

As The Shade Room previously reported, the original Fyre Festival was expected to occur in spring 2017. However, despite endorsements from various influencers such as Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and co-founder Ja Rule that the event would be lavish, attendees were greeted with less than stellar accommodations.

The accommodations included FEMA tents, cheese sandwiches, portapotties, and styrofoam plates. Additionally, original attendees reportedly paid thousands for their tickets.

McFarland was ultimately sentenced to six years in prison for the botched event. However, after serving almost four years, he was released and ordered to pay $26 million back in restitution.

Earlier this year, McFarland announced his plans to give the festival another shot.

“…Fyre Festival II is finally happening. Tell me why you should be invited,” he tweeted on April 9.
