Okay! Billy Porter has been slaying the red carpets and serving all types of glam on Pose and now, he’ll be doing that and more in his up coming role!
Billy will be playing the fairy godmother in the ‘Cinderella’ live action remake. If you’re wondering who he’ll be playing fairy godmother to—it’s non other than Camila Cabello! Billy confirmed this tea just last night at the New Yorker Festival.
“I have a couple movies that I’m working on,” he says on the New Yorker‘s Instagram Stories. “I’m gonna be playing the fairy godmother in the new Cinderella movie with Camila Cabello.”
Camila has been killing it on the music scene, and just last month Billy Porter made history when he became the first openly gay black man to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
There have been plenty of ‘Cinderella’ remakes, but it’s safe to say one of everyone’s favorites is the one where Brandy stars as Cinderella, and the late, great Whitney Houston stars as her fairy godmother.
Some may argue that Whitney played that role better than anyone ever could but what do y’all think Roommates? Are you excited to see Billy bippity-boppity-boo?!
