Cardi B Speaks On Colorism In NYC Strip Clubs Following Joe Budden’s Recent Comments—“Certain Clubs Wouldn’t Let Me Work”

Earlier this week, Joe Budden sparked an intense debate with allegations of colorism at strip clubs in New York City and now he has a very famous co-signer who backs up his claims, none other than Cardi B. Taking to social media, Cardi B agreed with everything Joe Budden stated regarding the ongoing history of colorism that exotic dancers face in NYC.

While replying to fans on Twitter, Cardi B used the opportunity as the perfect moment to speak about the issues she faced during her time as a dancer before she began her reality TV and music career:

“Funny thing [you] say that because when I was a dancer certain clubs wouldn’t let me work on ‘Latin Nights’ cause apparently I didn’t look Spanish enough wit my braids! I even spoke about strip club and colorism b4.”

When a fan pointed out that this was not the first time that she had spoken out about colorism in strip clubs, Cardi wrote “People only listen to the s**t I say when it’s convenient for their narrative tho.”

As we previously reported, Joe Budden didn’t hold back when he called out strip clubs in New York via an Instagram post that read, “NY strip clubs, not only are you not hiring Black women, but you’re purposely hiring the SAME exact girl… Your promoter having a type is gonna lose y’all money this Summer. This is disgusting (not the girls, the optics.)”
