Chloe x Halle Announced As First Musicians To Be Neutrogena Brand Ambassadors

#Roommates, 2021 has started off with a bang for R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle—and this latest news surrounding the two involves one of the biggest beauty brands in the world! Neutrogena just announced that Chloe x Halle are the newest celebrity brand ambassadors, making them the first musicians to do so.

After getting separate Instagram accounts and shutting the Internet down with their takes on a variety of viral online challenges earlier this year, Chloe x Halle are leveling up once again and its courtesy of popular beauty brand Neutrogena. @WWD reports, Chloe Bailey, 22, and Halle Bailey, 20 have just been named as the brand’s latest ambassadors—and they are reportedly the first musicians ever to hold that title.

Kerry Sullivan, Vice President of Marketing at Neutrogena parent company Johnson & Johnson, had this to say about Chloe x Halle becoming the new faces of the brand:

“These are not celebrity faces or just pretty faces. Of course, they’re gorgeous, but in their own right, they really have a whole story to tell and they live a whole life. They believe in using a brand and their own platform to really reach the next generation of consumers, and do so authentically by uplifting the next generation of consumers. So we were very aligned with the Neutrogena brand values.”

She continued, adding:

“They just have a natural passion when we talked with them, and honestly, a curiosity for the science behind skin care. These girls, they really are an inspiration. They’re creators, they’re performers. They’re good to each other as sisters, they’re good to their fans and their followers. They’re very relatable to young Millennial and Generation Z consumers who want to hear more about what brands stand for and what’s behind a brand.”

Halle spoke out about being a Neutrogena fan and connecting with the company’s past ads. “My sister and I really have always connected with the brand ever since we were young girls, like the face-splash commercials. We’re all about skin care and we try to be very authentic, genuine human beings and, ultimately, to show that outside as well,” she said.

Meanwhile, Chloe revealed that her favorite Neutrogena product is the sunscreen, saying that “women of all colors, ages and skin types can use [Neutrogena’s] sunscreens without a white cast. It actually gives a nice glow.”
