Chrisean Rock Reportedly Made a Legal Filing In Response To An Assault Lawsuit
Earlier this month, it was reportedly that Rock made a legal filing in response to a lawsuit accusing her of assault. As The Shade Room previously reported, the lawsuit was initially filed by a friend of Tamar Braxton, James Wright Chanel, in February.
In the suit, Chanel accused Rock of punching him in the face several times while backstage at one of Braxton’s concerts in Los Angeles, California, in November 2023.

Additionally, Chanel’s suit accused Rock of two of his teeth. At the time, criminal charges of assault with a deadly weapon and battery were also filed against Rock and aided in her serving time behind bars over the summer, per The Shade Room.
In response to Chanel’s suit, Rock reportedly denied Chanel’s “numerous physical injuries,” per The Shade Room. Furthermore, Rock’s filing reportedly notes her intention to bar Chanel from receiving “recovering any damages against her.”
