31-year-old Rodriguez shared the happy update on Instagram with a photograph of her hand lying on Cristiano Ronaldo’s while seemingly in bed together. “Yes, I do,” her caption said in Spanish. “In this and in all my lives.” The couple has been dating for nearly a decade, but it’s unclear why a marriage proposal was delayed until now.
According to the Associated Press, Ronaldo met Georgina Rodriguez in 2016 when she worked at a Gucci store in Madrid. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Rodríguez and the 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo have two daughters together. She has also helped to raise Ronaldo’s other three children, Ronaldo Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo. The pro-soccer player welcomed their first child in 2017, a daughter named Alana. Georgina went into labor with her second pregnancy in 2022. They were expecting to bring home twins, Bella and Ángel. However, Ángel passed away during childbirth.

According to PEOPLE, the ring’s estimated price tag is $5 million. That estimate comes from Tobias Kormind, who manages 77 Diamonds in London. Kormind thinks the ring features 37 carats in total, including the two oval stones on either side of the huge middle diamond.
Meanwhile, Laura Taylor from Lorel Diamonds told the outlet she estimates it costs about $2 million, and Julia Chafe, a jewelry-loving TikTok influencer, gave it a $1 million bump. Chafe thinks it costs $3 million and, like Kormind, estimates that the oval-shaped diamond is 35 carats.
