Da Brat Is “So Grateful” To Experience Motherhood
The couple shared the photos of their son through a feature with PEOPLE, and the “Funkdafied” rapper provided meaningful commentary on her motherhood journey to accompany the reveal.
Reflecting on her newborn son, Da Brat said she’s “so grateful” to be a mother.
“Look, this came out of my stomach. I cry every day. I just look at him and boo-hoo, because I’m so grateful.”
Adding to this reflection, she acknowledged, “I’m 49, I’m high-risk, I have high blood pressure.”
“So many women so much younger than me want kids and can’t have them, and I had a successful pregnancy. It’s just an honor. He’s such a blessing.”
Nonetheless, the artist laughingly acknowledged that she “never” wants to experience labor again, though she added, “For him, it was worth it.”
Ultimately, Da Brat wrapped up her PEOPLE sit-down by acknowledging that she’s leading a very different life than she was during her “Brat-a-tat-tat” days!
“Who would ever think this? Da Brat-a-tat-tat from 1994! I’m with a beautiful, successful woman who completes me and inspires me to be better. I’m elated to be a mother. I never thought I would be, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I never need another thing in life.”

Aside from their PEOPLE feature, Brat, and Judy came thru and shared other photos of True Legend for fans to admire.
In one video in the delivery room, the rap star marvels at her son, noting, “This was inside of me.” Viewers also see a close-up of True Legend during his first moments outside the womb.
In another Instagram upload, the parents show True Legend posing with a faux boombox and microphone. Regarding the prop choices, the parents noted, “It was only right.”
Finally, the couple showed a photo of themselves posing with their son alongside Judy’s adult children and her granddaughter to show off their entire family.
