Dave East Discusses Altercation In Las Vegas With Two Women In New Interview

This summer, rapper/actor Dave East found himself in what could have potentially been a very serious and career-damaging situation, when he was accused of assaulting two women in his hotel room in Las Vegas. He has kept quiet about the incident, until now, and recently explained what happened.

Dave East is riding a career high right now, despite new music on the horizon, he is also starring as Method Man is the critically-acclaimed Hulu limited series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” about the legendary hip hop group. However, his success was almost interrupted when it was reported that he was cited for a battery charge for allegedly assaulting two women in what was described as a three-way hookup gone wrong.

Fast forward to the present, and Dave is speaking out about what went down in his Vegas hotel room for the first time with Washington D.C.’s “The Morning Hustle” radio show. He begins by explaining that there were more people present than just him and the two women, as was widely reported. He goes on to state that when the women asked to use the restroom, he remembered that his jewelry was out in the open close to the bathroom and went to go put it away, but found one of the women trying on a bracelet that has his daughter’s initials on it.

Dave said:

“Her friend caught an attitude. ‘Ain’t nobody trying to steal nothing.’ First of all I ain’t say nobody was trying to steal why you say that? Matter of fact y’all get y’all s**t. Get out. And it went from that to bottle service. Shorty threw three bottles at me. Cut my arm, my leg, all that.”

He continued to explain that the women had already called the police before anything ever actually happened. Authorities heard him yelling at them, but when they arrived, he was the only one with visible scratches and injuries. “It wasn’t nothing. They patched me up, brought me to the little s**t. Gave me a battery charge. Gave her one because they just went off the stories.”

Dave acknowledged that his bad judgement could have been avoided, saying “My mistake was even chilling with them in my room at all. It all went down in my room, so it looked bad. And then it’s two girls claiming I’m attacking them.”
