Congratulations are in order for Nigerian singer-songwriter Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland, who recently celebrated their union with a lavish wedding ceremony.

Davido & Chioma Rowland Walk Down The Aisle
Earlier this week, Davido took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos featuring himself and Rowland. In the flicks, the pair donned various matching sets of traditional Nigerian ensembles. Additionally, the pair stood side by side as they lovingly embraced one another in the shots.
Furthermore, Davido captioned the photos with “#CHIVIDO24 ❤️,” seemingly hinting at an upcoming event. The singer-songwriter also credited the company behind his and his wife’s outfits and even referred to the various components of the shoot with the words “bride” and “groom.”

On Monday, June 24, Davido returned to Instagram with a video of the shoot. In the clips, Rowland posed alongside her husband, and showed off her blinged-out ring finger.
Then, on Tuesday, June 25, Plus Media TV took to YouTube to begin a livestream titled “See The Grand Arrival Of Davido And Chioma To Their Wedding.” The stream lasted about 40 minutes and showed guests as they arrived at the wedding venue. Furthermore, the outlet tagged the video’s location as Lagos, Nigeria.
As the day continued, various videos were shared on social media of the couple’s lavish celebration. One featured Davido showering his wife with money.
While another video showed him gifting his wife a brand-new vehicle.

Davido Previously Revealed He & Chioma Were Married
On Tuesday, June 25, Davido returned to Instagram to share footage of his car making a stop on a roadway, seemingly after the lavish celebration. In the clip, the artist gets out of his Mercedes Benz as onlookers cheer in excitement.
In the caption of his post, Davido wrote, “🇳🇬 IS HAPPY.”
To note, although Davido and Rowland have officially walked down the aisle, the pair have actually been married for some time now. According to BellaNaija, Davido formally confirmed his marriage to Rowland in March 2023.
“…Just being away, you know, I have had a lot to think about definitely — time to rest, reflect on a lot of family time and time to make music again,” he explained at the time. “…Before I went on a break, I actually had an album ready. I had a tour ready… It was crazy. I’m married. A lot of different things, but yeah…”
Then, in October of that year, Davido confirmed that he and Rowland welcomed twins almost a year after the passing of their son, David. The three-year-old reportedly passed away after drowning in the pool at their Lagos residence in October 2022, per The Shade Room.
“It’s very hard. A lot of people who those things happen to, you would never want to believe in God ever in your life,” Davido explained while speaking on a panel at a UnitedMasters conference at the time. “I’m telling you, but to still have faith and to still be able to do what I love, having a great team around me and just focusing. Now we’re almost at the finish line, and it’s a story that I want people to see and watch.”
