DC Young Fly Speaks On Being A Symbol Of ‘Positivity’ Following His Family’s Tragedy

The comedian recently spoke with TMZ and explained how he’s been able to stay strong following Jacky Oh’s passing. He explained that his faith has played a significant role in his perseverance.

“…God is the greatest. He’s granted me the strength to keep going and I’ve got to take care of my babies… and that’s the key to life. You just [have to] keep going, stay prayed up, and never let the tragedies and stuff that you’re going through bring you down…”

DC acknowledged that “we’re [all] human” and “emotional.” However, he prefers not to showcase himself in his more emotional moments.

“That’s the point — people want to see me cry. I’m just not going to record myself crying and show you I’m crying.”

The comedian went on to explain that he does “cry all the time” but would “rather show positivity.”

“I cry all the time, but I rather show positivity and let people know that God is the greatest. I want to continue to show that God is keeping me uplifted and keeps granting me the strength, and that’s the message that I want to continue to put out there in the world…”

The Comedian Shared An Update On His & Jacky Oh’s Children, And His Urge To The Public

Additionally, DC also shared how his children have been doing following the passing of their mother.

“Unless you’ve been through that situation, you’ll know. But, you know, [we’ll] get through it.”

Before ending the interview, the interviewer explained to DC that the passing of Jacky Oh prompted a more extensive conversation regarding the safety of plastic surgery. They then asked the comedian if he believes the tragedy “will deter people” from opting for the practice.

“It should if they’re paying attention. But some people use certain people as lessons, and some people [are] just going to keep going with their lives…”

Despite this, the comedian shared that he wants people to “take care” of themselves and “make sure” they make the “best decisions” for themselves and their families.

“I just want people to take care of yourselves and make sure you make the best decisions for you and your family and always keep God first and don’t let nobody break your character.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, funeral services were held for Jacky Oh earlier this month. Furthermore, many social media users applauded DC Young Fly for his strength at the service.

According to The US Sun, Jacky Oh’s cause of death “remains under investigation.”
