Social media star and entrepreneur De’arra Taylor recently spilled it all during an interview with Cam Newton on his ‘Funky Friday’ podcast. De’arra got real about her past relationship, legal issues with her ex-boyfriend, Ken Walker and her current dating life.

De’arra Taylor Gets Real About Her Past Relationship & Why She’s Suing Her Ex
During her chat with Cam Newton, De’arra opened up about her breakup with her ex-boyfriend Ken Walker. She explained that while Ken’s cheating wasn’t the only reason for the split, it was the final straw. De’arra also hinted that she felt he was competing with her and even suggested he showed narcissistic behavior.
The former couple once shared a YouTube channel that pulled in over a million subscribers. Since their split, the channel no longer exists, and De’arra is reportedly suing Ken for allegedly taking thousands of dollars from their joint bank account.
De’arra told Cam that the account held money from her solo brand deals, including Fashion Nova, skincare partnerships, and other promotions. She said she doesn’t feel obligated to share anymore, telling Cam, “You don’t get the same respect. You don’t get the same me.”
“At the time I didn’t care because we were building together — what’s mine is yours and what’s yours is mine. But obviously when we’re not together anymore and we splitting, imma need my sh**. Period.”
De’arra Speaks On Her New Relationship And Interest In Women
Cam Newton didn’t just ask about De’arra’s past, he dug for tea on her current dating life too. At one point, he bluntly asked, “So are you dating a stud now?” De’arra replied with a confused “Huh?” before basically confirming she’s seeing someone new. She made it clear, though, that dating a woman wasn’t a reaction to her past relationship. “Can’t no man who did me wrong make me go to a woman,” she said.
While De’arra has posted a few soft-launch photos with her new boo, she told Cam she isn’t interested in being a public “social media couple” again. She said she’s been there, done that, and was already part of one of the biggest YouTube couples at the time.
