Deion Sanders has undergone his sixteenth surgery in the past 3 years, now addressing blood clots, as footage shows Karrueche Tran right back at his side.
According to ESPN, on Saturday, October 4, Deion Sanders revealed to the public that he believed he was “dealing with blood clots again.” During a press conference, the 58-year-old explained that he was “hurting like crazy” and he wasn’t “getting blood” to his legs, so his legs were “throbbing.”
Per CBS News, on Tuesday, October 7, Sanders revealed that he was scheduled for surgery to address the issue. However, he noted that he doesn’t plan on missing practice for the collegiate Colorado Buffaloes, which is apparently scheduled for sometime on Wednesday, October 8.
“Preferably, I’ll be right back tomorrow because I don’t miss practice,” he explained before reportedly speaking on his condition. “It has nothing to do with me working in the level that I’m trying to compete at. It’s hereditary. It is what it is.”
Social media users immediately slid into TSR’s comment section with prayers and well-wishes for Deion Sanders a.k.a. Coach Prime.
According to USA Today, it was subsequently confirmed that Deion Sanders would be undergoing “an aspiration thrombectomy for the left popliteal and tibial arteries.” Simplified, this reportedly means Sanders would be undergoing surgery to remove clots from his left leg. To note, this is the same leg where Sanders previously underwent two toe amputations and partial removal of his calf.
Additionally, on the morning of Wednesday, October 8, a carousel was then shared on Sanders’ Instagram account, showing him in a hospital bed but all smiles alongside his son Deion Jr., as well as former NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones.
To note, Sanders also documented this latest surgery in a video uploaded to Well Off Media’s YouTube channel. About 16 minutes into the clip, he revealed that this is his 16th surgery in the “last three years.” Additionally, footage showed that Sanders’ rumored girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was right by his side for the big day.
As The Shade Room previously reported, in July, the pair made headlines when footage showed Tran at Sanders’ side when he underwent surgery to remove his bladder following a cancer diagnosis. Since then, neither Tran nor Sanders has confirmed whether they are dating. However, Tran has stated that she’s “enjoying” dating while not denying that she’s taken a recent liking to football.
