They claim his 13 months behind bars have been “life-changing,” that he’s sober, in therapy, and working on himself — but that continued treatment can only happen outside prison walls. His mother’s declining health was also mentioned, with the note that she doesn’t know “how much longer” she’ll be around and wants to see her son reunited with family. Now, his legal team is pushing for a sentence of no more than 14 months total, followed by supervised release and continued therapy — hoping the judge gives him the chance to start whatever this next chapter looks like.
