Erica Mena has called Safaree OUT after he shared that his “new purpose” in life is giving back.

Footage obtained by The Shade Room shows Safaree walking down a street in Kingston, Jamaica. In the clip, a man walking behind the rapper can be seen handing money to children walking alongside them. Additionally, Safaree explains to viewers that when he visits his native country, he “puts money in people’s hands.” However, he now wants to do “something bigger and better.”
In a second clip, the rapper tells viewers that giving back is his “new purpose.”
“I want to start giving back more, and uh, I don’t why lately, [maybe] this trip is just making me see things different [but] I have to do it, so if you’re somebody who know me, link me up if you want to help in any way,” he explained.
Furthermore, a subsequent video shared on Safaree’s Instagram feed shows him announcing that The Safaree Foundation “WILL BE doing a community treat giveback in Kingston Jamica LAST WEEK OF August before the kids go back to school.”
“…I will have date and details really soon! THEY NEED SHOES SCHOOL SUPPLIES I WILL ALSO DO WHATEVER I CAN DO FOR THEIR HOMES AS FAR AS BEDS FANS AND THINGS TO MAKE MY PEOPLE COMFORTABLE!” Safaree wrote in the caption of his post. “If you know me hit me up and donate to the cause!!!! I’m on my heal the world journey!!! 1st of many! LETS MAKE HISTORY!!!”
Erica Mena Calls Her Ex-Husband OUT
Mena apparently caught wind of her ex-husband’s new life purpose and took to social media to share her reaction. In a series of videos, the mother of three shared a message in hopes of preventing the public from getting “scammed.”
Mena went on to allege that Safaree “has no idea” that their children, Legend and Safire, recently started school. Additionally, the actor revealed that she couldn’t attend her daughter’s first day of pre-k and felt “guilty.”
“And here I am feeling guilty because I wasn’t there due to work. And while I’m feeling guilty, motherf*****s is out here trying to make the world believe that they actually have a charity because they care about other people’s children,” Mena said. “How can you care about anybody else’s children when you don’t even care about your own?”
The mother alleged that her ex-husband misses important dates in their children’s lives because he wants to be spiteful to her. Furthermore, Mena alleged that Safaree’s latest initiative shows how much he’s “playing with” their children and other people’s children.
Finally, Mena stated that their children go “months and months” without Safaree being present in their lives or him “even asking” about their wellbeing.
Here’s What’s Recently Been Going Down Between The Former Couple
Tension seemed to publicly resurface between Mena and her ex-husband in July. At the time, Safaree went viral after he appeared on the ‘We In Miami’ podcast and said his breakup with Nicki Minaj was the “biggest struggle” he’s had to overcome, per The Shade Room.
Safaree’s revelation sparked reactions from social media users who appeared puzzled he did not cite his divorce from Mena after their three-year marriage as his “biggest struggle.” Additionally, Mena reacted to Safaree’s statement by highlighting that he doesn’t “even talk or care about his seeds this much online or [in] real life.”
Later that month, Mena returned to social media to blast Safaree for allegedly failing to groom their children while they were in his care, per The Shade Room.
At the time, Safaree did not publicly react to his ex-wife’s comments. Instead, footage soon surfaced of him turnin’ up with Larsa Pippen at her 50th birthday party, per The Shade Room.
As of Wednesday, August 14, Safaree has not publicly reacted to his ex-wife’s latest public call-out.
