When it comes to hip hop legends, Erykah Badu isnt just a fanshes connected in more ways than one. The soul icon pulled up to ‘Drink Champs’ for a recent episode. There, the convo took a spicy turn as two lyrical powerhouses, Andr 3000 and Black Thought, came into question. And, lets just say… things got real personal, real fast.
During the recent interview, Erykah Badu was asked to choose between two rap legends one being her longtime collaborator, the other being the father of her child. Without missing a beat, she joked, Now youre messing with my child support, referencing her son, Sevyn, shared with Andr 3000. Though Badu seemed to struggle between choosing one, she still showed love to Black Thoughther collaborator on ‘You Got Me.’ But, ultimately, she gave the edge to Andr, calling herself one of his biggest fans outside of being family.”
Social media is having a field day in the ‘Drink Champs’ YouTube comment section after Erykah Badus appearance. Some fans are overjoyed to hear her call Andr 3000 family. While others are hollering at how unexpectedly hilarious she is. And, real music lovers are giving her props, saying she said exactly what needed to be said and said it with her chest.
