The Shade Room obtained an exclusive photo and video of Fetty Wap after his release. The pic sees him posted on a sidewalk in a black sweatsuit, while the video shows him during what looks like a meeting. In a statement, the rapper, whose government name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, thanked his family, friends, and fans for sticking with him while he was behind bars. “I want to thank my family, friends, and fans for the love, prayers, and continued support — it truly means everything to me.”
He also shared his fresh-out plans, which are to give back to communities, support at-risk youth, and focus on making meaningful impacts moving forward.

In May 2023, a judge sentenced him to six years in prison for distributing cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl across Long Island and New Jersey. In April 2025, rumors started swirling on social media that he was going to be released early.
