Former NFL Player Chad Wheeler Pleads Not Guilty To All Charges Following The Physical Assault Of His Girlfriend

#Roommates, following his arrest and removal from his team after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, former Seattle Seahawks player Chad Wheeler has just pled not guilty to all charges in the case. Many were shocked and outraged at the photos and the account of Chad Wheeler’s girlfriend detailing the alleged horrific abuse she suffered from him.

@TMZ_TV reports, former NFL offensive lineman Chad Wheeler is currently at the center of an extremely disturbing domestic abuse case—and he is attempting to clear his name. Wheeler recently pled not guilty to all three charges in the case days after he was arrested for severely beating his girlfriend, now only identified as Alleah. Wheeler, 27, made his appearance in a King County, Washington courtroom to formally enter his not guilty pleas.

During the court proceedings, Chad Wheeler was also ordered to stay in the state of Washington and to remain under electronic home detention with a monitoring device strapped around his ankle. Under the conditions of his pre-trial release, he is also must continue to have zero contact with his alleged victim. Additionally, the victim was also present at the court hearing with a sling around her left arm.

As we previously reported, Wheeler is facing a series of charges stemming from the violent incident, including first-degree domestic violence assault. He is accused of choking his girlfriend unconscious on two occasions, severely bludgeoning her face and injuring her arm on January 22nd.

He apologized for the incident days after it happened, saying he was in the middle of a manic episode due to bipolar disorder. “I apologize profusely for the turmoil that I have caused to my family, teammates, fans and those closest to me. The most important thing right now is that [the alleged victim] gets the care she needs and I get help. Both are happening.”
