Former WWE Star Shad Gaspard Passes Away At 39–Body Identified On Los Angeles Beach

Roommates, earlier this week we reported on WWE star Shad Gaspard missing after he went swimming in Venice Beach.

The former WWE star went missing while swimming at Marina Del Rey Beach on Sunday with his 10-year-old son. ___ Gaspard and his son were among a group of swimmers who got caught in a strong rip current, prompting lifeguards to race to the water to rescue everyone. ___ One witness at the scene told @tmz_tv when lifeguards raced into the ocean, Gaspard directed rescuers to help his son first, which they did. While Gaspard’s son was safely recovered from the water, Gaspard remains missing. ___ A massive search was underway Sunday for the pro wrestler. We’re sad to report that a body matching his description was found and identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner.

According to TMZ, the body was found around 1:30 AM this morning near the Venice Pier and called in.

As reported, Shad went swimming with his 10-year-old son Aryeh, and heroically told the lifeguards to focus on getting his child to safety first. When the lifeguards came back for Shad, he’d unfortunately lost his fight to the current and was pronounced missing from that point.
