Human Remains Found In Search For Missing 5-Year-Old Florida Girl, Mother Named As Person Of Interest

TSR Updatez: Human remains have been found in the search for 5-year-old Taylor Rose Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, who was reported missing last week from her home.

What was believed to be the body of Taylor was found in the state of Alabama and now authorities have officially named her mother, Brianna Williams, as a person of interest in the investigation.

“The multi-agency investigative team involved in the search for missing Taylor Rose Williams confirmed that search teams uncovered human remains in a wooded area between the cities of Linden and Demopolis, Alabama,” the Demopolis Police Department said in a statement on its Facebook page. “Victim identification is pending.”

Brianna Williams, who authorities said stopped cooperating with investigators, was reportedly hospitalized today for a medical emergency, according to News 4 JAX. She was flown from Naval Air Station Jacksonville to UF Health hospital in downtown Jacksonville, soon after it was announced that human remains were found in the search for Taylor.

Authorities will have to wait to confirm that the remains belong to Taylor. Her disappearance prompted an Amber Alert.

Brianna Williams initially reported her daughter’s disappearance. Brianna claims she put Taylor to bed and woke the next morning to discover her daughter was gone and the back door was open.

Police did not immediately identify any suspects. We will keep you posted on any updates in this investigation.

Our prayers continue to be with Taylor’s family at this time.
