The 2022 holiday season is coming to a close in a couple of days as we usher in the new year. But before we get there, let’s dive into some family business! For all the downs, a chunk of uplifting news this year involves celebrities expanding their families with a baby. From first-time parenthood to spinning the block again, here are 15 celebrity couples (and exes) who welcomed a little one (or two) into their lives!
Jhené Aiko & Big Sean
Fans first got visual evidence that Jhené and Big Sean were expecting their first child together when paparazzi snapped photos of Jhené’s baby bump in July. The pair welcomed their son Noah Hasani in November after 24 hours of labor.
Though this is Big Sean’s first time moving into the parenthood block, Jhené is already a mother to 14-year-old Namiko from a previous relationship with O’Ryan Browner–Omarion’s younger brother.
Rihanna & A$AP Rocky
Rih and Rocky kicked off 2022 by announcing their pregnancy with an NYC stroll-themed photoshoot. According to TMZ, she gave birth to a son on May 13.
However, fans didn’t get a glimpse of the couple’s first baby until about a week before Christmas, when Rihanna released exclusive images via Hollywood Unlocked and then posted a Tik Tok video of their mini.
Keshia Knight Pulliam & Brad James
In early December, the married actors announced that they were expecting their first child together. Keshia later revealed on the Tamron Hall Show that they kept quiet about their baby at first due to a previous miscarriage.
She also added that her daughter, from a previous relationship with Ed Hartwell, is excited to be a big sister! Brad and Keshia got married in September 2021. Keshia’s due date remains unclear, but that bump was bumpin’ in the announcement post.
Colin Kaepernick & Nessa Diab
Colin and Nessa welcomed their first baby together over the summer but didn’t announce their new journey until late August–a few weeks after the birth. Since then, the longtime boyfriend and girlfriend have kept mum about their child’s name or sex. They also haven’t shared any additional photos of the child.
Adrienne Bailon & Israel Houghton
Adrienne and gospel singer Israel welcomed their first baby together, Ever James, on August 16. Though Ever is Adrienne’s first child, he is Israel’s fifth. The married couple, who tied the knot in a 2016 ceremony in Paris, welcomed Ever using a surrogate. Over the years, Bailon has been open about her fertility issues.
Keke Palmer & Darius Daulton
Keke revealed her baby bump in early December during her hosting of Saturday Night Live. Dressed in a chocolate pants suit, she ripped open her matching trenchcoat to reveal a poking baby bump.
The innanet was already speculating the actress was with child, but she set “the record straight” herself in the opening monologue. Boyfriend Darius Daulton was on set supporting the reveal of their new adventure!
Gucci Mane & Keyshia Ka’oir
Gucci and Keyshia have expanded their blended family for the second time! Nearly two years after welcoming their first child together, Ice, the parents are adding another bundle of joy. The married couple announced their pregnancy in September with a heartfelt video of Gucci seeing the pregnancy stick result. Both Keyshia and Gucci have children from previous relationships.
John Legend & Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy and John revealed they’re expecting a baby in August! The joyous news comes after the married couple lost their third child together, Jack. They are also parents to their firstborn daughter, Luna, and son, Miles.
It’s unclear how far along Chrissy is, but her belly was bumpin’ in a seaside-themed Christmas photo with the family of five!
Summer Walker & LVRD Pharoh
About a week ago, Summer was seemingly prepping for delivery. The singer revealed her pregnancy in June while on Instagram Live. Last month, she revealed that she’s no longer in a relationship with the father, LVRD Pharoh.
She recently posted photos featuring her bump, and a birthing tub, her birthing team, including Erykah Badu. It’s unclear if she has already given birth, but fans online have been speculating Summer is expecting double after Badu made a post saying her daughter is assisting her “in labor with twins.” Walker is also mother to toddler daughter Bubbles with former boyfriend London On Da Track.
Taina Williams & G Herbo
Taina and G Herbo welcomed their second baby and first daughter together in May. Emmy Love was born seven pounds, five ounces, and 19.5 inches long, according to a post that Taina shared. Together, they have a blended family of five, with Herbo being Yoshon’s father, from a previous relationship with Ari Fletcher.
He recently told Yung Miami during an episode of Caresha Please that Taina is a “great woman,” and he plans to pop the marriage question soon!
Miracle Watts & Tyler Lepley
Miracle and Tyler announced they were expecting their first baby together in May!
Their son, Xi Leì, was born in October. Though Miracle shared photos of her and Tyler with baby Xi, we’ve yet to see a close/clear shot of the little one’s face. Xi is Miracle’s first child, but Tyler is also father to two children from a previous relationship.
Jeezy & Jeannie Mai
Jeezy and Jeannie revealed their pregnancy in September 2021 and welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai Jenkins in January. Fans didn’t learn the little one’s name until June–five months after she was born. Jeezy and Jeannie share a blended family, as Jeezy is a father to three other children, Jadarius, Amra, and Shyheim.
Soulja Boy & Jackilyn Martinez
Soulja Boy and Jackie welcomed their first child together and son KeAndre in September. It’s unclear if they are still in a romantic relationship.
Nick Cannon And Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, Brittany Bell, Abby de La Rosa, And Alyssa Scott
Father of 12, Nick Cannon, hasn’t been shy about his growing, blended family–often making himself the joke and always asking the public for respect towards the mothers of his children. This year alone, Cannon welcomed four children and is expecting a fifth.
Nick welcomed his eighth child, Legendary Love Cannon, with Bre Tiesi in July. Legendary is their first child together.
Then, Onyx Ice Cole Cannon was born in September to LaNisha Cole.
Brittany Bell and Nick welcomed their third child, Rise Messiah Cannon, on September 30.
Abby De La Rosa also welcomed her third child with Nick this year. Beautiful Zeppelin was born on November 11. Nick and Abby also co-parent twins Zion and Zillion.
Nick is also expecting his twelfth child with Alyssa Scott, which they announced in November. Cannon and Scott lost their first child together, Zen, to brain cancer in 2021 at five months old.
Diddy & Dana Tran
One of the biggest bombshells of the year was Diddy announcing he welcomed a daughter, Love Sean Combs, in October with Dana Tran. The news brought a wave of headlines, including reactions about and from his public bae Yung Miami.
Diddy shared a first look at his new baby on Christmas Day, obscuring her face in his chest, as her siblings step brother Quincy, twin sisters Jessie and D’Lila, sister Chance, and brother Christian surrounded their smiling father. Diddy’s son Justin was not pictured.
