Social Media Weighs In On The Singer’s Family Tree
Neither of her “cousins” have weighed in on Janet Jackson’s interview comments. However, all of her wanna-be family on social media have been sharing their reactions.
In the comment section of The Shade Room’s repost, some roommates couldn’t get enough of the details, while others claimed to know the information already or doubted it!
@trapkitchen_new_new wrote, “Now Samuel L. Jackson is a shocker last name and all. It never crossed my mind that he’s a Jackson Jackson.”
“Are we talking cousin cousin, or black ppl version of cousins,” @5starrr_mama questioned.
@ap_iam joked, “The way Samuel L. Jackson say curse folks out, I should’ve known he had some Joe Jackson in em.”
@_morningsunshyne added, “Family Reunion worth a billion dollars 😂 that’s crazy!” Meanwhile, @indeskribeabull demanded to see “pictures from the family reunion immediately!”
@moremelaninmonroe wrote, “All ima say is the amount of celebrities who are related is either a testament to genetics or to the politics in the industry.”
However, @simply___jassy wasn’t buying Janet’s reveal. She wrote, ” I think she trolling about Samuel L. Jackson. Cause y’all know white people think all blacks people related,” as a reference to the white-identifying interviewer.
Regardless of the doubt, we know for sure that talent is never lacking in the Jackson family! Janet is the younger sister of eight iconic names, including Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy, and the late Michael Jackson. She also had a brother named Brandom, who died after birth in 1957, per PEOPLE.
Last month, she opened up about how her and Michael’s 1995 song ‘Scream’ transports her through time whenever she hears it! She told BBC that they wrote it in New York in his apartment.
“So [I relive] that whole journey, listening to him sing it [and remembering] what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That’s always been my role.”
To be crystal clear, that same “little sister” has gone on to sell more than 100 million records worldwide! Come through Jackson genes!
