Not the girls getting called out already! A small business owner is putting Diddys twin daughters, Jessie and DLila Combs, on blastclaiming they stole her fashion brands entire concept for their new line, 12TWINTY1. The twins recently announced their new venture, but it didnt take long for drama to pop off online. Imani Marshall, an independent designer and founder of 1221 Apparel, hopped on social media to air out her frustrations.
Marshall says she launched her brand back in January 2024months before the twins made their debutand even secured her LLC and built a social media presence. According to Imani, the name, aesthetic, and overall vibe of 12TWINTY1 is way too close to hers, and shes accusing Jessie and DLila of biting her entire concept.
In her video, Imani Marshall breaks down the inspiration behind 1221 Apparel, calling it a passion project rooted in creativity and hustle. She also pointed out that her brand has already gained some buzz, thanks to collaborations with influencers and celebs. Additionally, Imani felt she had to speak upnot just for herself, but for other small business owners who constantly get overlooked or copied by celebs and big brands. As buzz grows around claims they copied a small brand, neither the twins, their brothers, nor any official rep has spoken out or publicly addressed the accusations.
Social media ain’t holdin’ back in Imani’s TikTok comment section and these claims have some folks crying theft! While critics say the name was clearly snatched from an indie creator, others are stepping in to defend itpointing out that the name is literally the founders birthday. Still, a whole section of the internet thinks this drama is doing the most and calling it a reach with a capital R.

Meanwhile, TikTok user @dejamonetworld shared, “They were born on 12/21 so i think it might be an oversight. Somebody shouldve looked into it.“
Likewise, TikTok user @N0tH3r3 commented, “Are you mad at the other 1221 clothing brands? Its a few out there.“
While, TikTok user @AniquaLashawn added, “Your LLC & business name is 1221 Apparel so legally they are still able to name their business 12twenty1 they probably are not copying on purpose“
Jessie and DLila recently celebrated a major milestone, graduating high school side by side as they proudly walked the stage hand in hand to accept their diplomasgracefully flashing their rings for the cameras. Despite their father, Diddy, awaiting sentencing, the daughters of the late Kim Porter kept it poised and polished. In a recent TikTok, the twins revealed they wouldnt be attending college, because they “will be business owners and working.” And, now it looks like theyve gone straight into business mode.
