Kandi Burruss Checks Reporter For Slick Suggestion About Tamar Braxton
Recently, the singer and reality star sat down with Entertainment Tonight for an exclusive chat, where she dished on her ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant and her past show ‘Kandi & The Gang.’ She admitted that she’s thought about bringing the show back but said she and her husband, Todd Tucker, might take it to another network.
The reporter agreed that the series would probably be a hit, especially with all the restaurants Kandi could showcase. But chileeeee, things immediately went wrong when the reporter suggested Tamar Braxton as a guest if the show the returns. Well, Kandi wasted no time checking him, clapping back with, “You will not be bringing her up in my interview.”
Here’s Why Kandi Burruss Isn’t Checking For Tamar Braxton
Roomies, if y’all remember the tea, Tamar Braxton once threw shade at Kandi’s OLG restaurant, basically saying nobody’s checking for it. She even straight-up called the spot “nasty.” In a clip shared by @stoppfeenin on X (formerly Twitter), Tamar says, “Nobody has yet said how nasty Old Lady is yet. Nobody! Why? And that is a known thing here in Atlanta.”
Tamar continued to say that when people are considering stopping at a spot for food, nobody thinks about Old Lady Gang. Additionally, she mentioned that nobody talks about how terrible the food is, and if your food is cold or your order is wrong, you still have to pay.
“Nobody is saying, B***h where we going to eat? B***h let’s go to Old Lady Gang WHO? Let’s just be honest, is we being honest? I’m just being honest.”
Even though Tamar threw some shade at Kandi’s restaurant three years ago, she cleared things up in February. In a clip shared by TheJasmineBrand, she said she has no beef with Kandi and wants to stay away from drama. “It was a three-year-old video. I don’t know how it came to see the light of day. I don’t really give a s**t. I wish everybody well, I’m not into drama anymore.”
