Roommates, it looks like Keke Palmer and Darius Daulton Jackson are finding a path forward as co-parents. Social media users are chit-chatting about their relationship status after a photo surfaced of the exes posing with their son, Leodis.
This marks the first publicized photo of Keke and Darius together since their mutual abuse allegations in November and December 2023.

Overnight on Monday, a photo of the parents and their one-year-old surfaced. In it, Keke and Darius stood near each other without making physical contact. Palmer smiled up at Leodis, who was sitting in his daddy’s arms and reaching down at his mama. Meanwhile, Jackson had his wide grin turned towards the camera.

A carousel post on Leodis’ public Instagram page suggests the trio stepped out for a fun day at the zoo. The ninth slide is a video showing a woman giving Leo a face painting and wearing the same white and blue shirt he wore with his parents. The tenth slide shows a close-up photo of the finished face painting, while the caption explains the moment from Leo’s point of view.
“10. You can’t tell, but I loved it. I had a fun day at the zoo! I’m grateful. Hope you guys had a good weekend,” it read.
Social Media Reacts To The Family Outing
However, it’s unclear where the family photo first originated, as it’s not currently available on Keke Palmer and Darius Daulton Jackson’s Instagram pages. Neither of them has spoken about the family outing.
Meanwhile, the comment section under The Shade Room’s repost has been booming for the last 12 hours, with over 7,800 written reactions.
@kiyacole stepped to the former couple’s defense, writing, “it’s called co-parenting and being cordial for the sake of their son. Stop jumping to conclusions.”

As previously reported, in November, a judge granted Keke temporary custody of Leodis and a restraining order against Darius after she accused him of physical, emotional, and manipulative abuse. Palmer claimed that Jackson would love-bomb her, then grow “distant and cold over a perceived insult to him.”
But Darius Daulton Jackson denied the abuse, saying that their recent altercation at the time was over him picking up Leodis for quality time. The exes continued to point fingers at each other. They each cited surveillance footage. A call from Keke Palmer’s mother to Daris cussing him out surfaced. Even his brother, ‘Insecure’ actor Sarunas Jackson, got involved, filing a restraining order against Palmer.
In February, Darius popped off online about the “hoops” fathers jump through to obtain custody and visitation.
Five months after Keke and Darius agreed to court-mandated mediation, a hearing scheduled for July 26 was dismissed, per a report from The Blast in May. This indicates that Palmer likely dropped her petition for sole custody and permanent restraining order request.
