Lala Anthony and Carmelo are showing despite their ongoing divorce they are still on a united front when it comes to co-parenting their son. Lala showed her appreciation for Carmelo with a special Father’s Day shoutout.
Lala shared a photo of Carmelo and their son Kiyan and said, “We spent all day cheering on Kiyan and @blackopscadets at the ‘Ballin on the Beach’tournament. Super proud of my boy always. Happy Father’s Day Mel…Kiyan is blessed to have you as his dad.”
Carmelo and Lala were spotted standing side by side cheering on their 14-year-old son Kiyan, who will be attending Christ the King High School in Queens, NY this upcoming fall.
This comes days after it was reported that Lala Anthony had filed for divorce from Carmelo after 11 years of marriage. Shortly after that news broke, news about a woman alleging that Carmelo is the father to her newborn twins emerged as well.
It was no secret that Lala and Carmelo had experienced some hard times in the marriage, and separated from each other at some point.
Back in 2017, she appeared on the “Wendy Williams Show,” when asked if she was ready to divorce him, she said at the time, “Not right now, you know marriages are filled with ups and downs, you know it, we all know it. We’re just going through a time right now but him and I are the best of friends and our #1 commitment is to our son Kiyan. We have to set an example for Kiyan.”
Lala has not made any comments publicly about her divorce after recently filing.
