Leanna Lenee Hunter recently got extremely personal with her supporters while sharing what the last six months have taught her. Lenee, who married NFL rookie Travis Hunter in May, shared the update with a throwback video of her crying. Despite her personal and religious growth message, the internet has other questions, particularly about her relationship.

Leanna Lenne Says THIS About Her Growth
In the caption of a TikTok video this week, Leanna wrote, “I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way. I don’t even recognize that girl anymore.” The “girl” Leanna described was herself in a video where she was seemingly inside a bathroom crying. She added a trending audio to the clip about God making you “great” through suffering. What exactly had her in tears is unclear. Sometimes in the video, it appears as if she’s talking to someone off-camera, and at other times, it seems like she’s just recording herself.
While she didn’t clarify her tears in the caption, Leanna Lenee acknowledged that she’s grown since filming the video. She highlighted the last six months without getting into too many specifics. Hunter did say that she has been devoting her life to Jesus and moving away from “the shackles of the world and social media.”
“I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this. Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you,” Leanna Lenee Hunter wrote.
What Was Happening Six Months Ago In Leanna’s Life?
While Leanna didn’t share her woes from six months ago, her previous social media posts tell her story in their own way. We can’t say for sure what had Mrs. Travis Hunter crying in her throwback video.
However, December was a sensationalized time for the couple as the internet spent consecutive days dragging Leanna. Travis had won the Heisman Trophy in mid-December. She and his family, including his mother, had attended the ceremony. Soon after, a video of Leanna’s seemingly “slow-to-react” moment landed her in the hot seat. Despite later clearing the air, the internet called her every name from A to Z, and dug up more videos that kept tossing and turning her on the grill. Even celebrities, from Claressa Shields to King Harris and Bow Wow, ultimately weighed in on perceptions of the relationship. Christmas Day came and went, and the drags continued.
Leanna has largely posted her social media content this year and kept it moving. Her Instagram page is flooded with loving photos of honeymoon memories with her husband. But her comment sections on the posts are all locked and available for looking and liking only. In her latest, from July 9, she and Travis were all smiles. She captioned the post, “Just me & you & another country we’ve never been to.”
