Roommates, the online Verzuz music battles have not only made quarantine a lot more entertaining, but they have also sparked an online debate about some of your favorite artists going head to head. LisaRaye recently chimed in on the debate about Lil Kim and Nicki Minajand she quickly came to the Queen Bees defense and suggested that Nicki pay the proper homage.
While discussing who should battle next on Verzuz, Swizz Beatz brought up the topic of Lil Kim versus Nicki Minaj during a conversation with Usher. However, Usher wasnt so sure about the match-up because Lil Kim came before Nicki and also due to her legendary status.
This spread like wildfire online with fans from both sides offering their opinionsand LisaRaye is the latest to enter the conversation. During a recent episode of the interactive TV show FOX Soul, moderator Claudia Jordan brought the subject up and was also defending Lil Kim, along with Syleena Johnson and Vivica A. Fox.
Although it was LisaRaye who didnt hold anything back when she said this:
We can all stand together queens and we can all say that all of us are acknowledging the fact that Kim came before Nicki Minaj. So Nicki, just take a seat. You don’t have to sit down for long, but just take a bow. Just like Beyonc said, ‘Bow down b**ches.
It didnt take long for Nicki Minajs fans, the Barbz, to flood LisaRayes Instagram with threatening and disrespectful comments. As of right now, she has not addressed the backlash from Nickis fans.
