She cited the reason as infidelity, and he later seemingly admitted to it and apologized to his wife in a social media statement. “…I made choices that I’m not proud of,” Desmond said. Then the following day, per TMZ, he stepped out to a cocktail bar and lip-locked with a 24-year-old influencer like no one was watching!
Desmond never addressed the viral kiss, even after SHE did. Instead, Scott continued to push his new, solo online presence. In his latest drop, he spilled some details about the man behind the laugh that helped make him and Kristy Sarah famous! 1. Desmond Scott Turned 32nd Birthday One Day After Divorce News Broke
Nine days after Kristy Scott filed for divorce on December 30, TMZ reported on it. That was January 9, just one day before Desmond turned 32 on January 10. It’s unclear how he spent the day, but for part of it, he broke his silence on Kristy’s petition and cheating allegations. As for the day after his birthday? It seems he enjoyed more than a lil’ intimacy with his mystery blonde later identified as Marissa Springer. It’s unclear where the two stand now. Marissa previously said she and Desmond met that same night.

2. His & Kristy’s Love Story Inspired Their Wedding Filmmaking Company
Desmond and Kristy Scott met on Facebook as teenagers and dated before going their separate ways for college. After later reconnecting, they got married when he was 20 and she was 19. In 2024, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. At the end of 2025, Kristy said a “discord or conflict of personalities” and infidelity has broken their marriage beyond repair. But once a time, it was their love story that inspired their wedding film company, Meant To Be Films. Desmond said so to Voyage Houston Magazine in 2018. It’s unclear how often the estranged couple produces content for the company these days, or who will own and operate it post-divorce.

It’s unclear if Mama Scott has ever made an appearance in any of Kristy and Desmond Scott’s old videos. And she’s yet to pop out in his new content. However, in his recent introduction video on YouTube, Des shared that he and his mother are extremely close.
Also, his mother inspired his love for cooking, per his YouTube intro. To this day, mother and son send each other recipes, cook for each other and “harshly rate” the food too!

The kitchen was his domain, and the plate was hers. Three years after the Scotts started booming on socials, he ramped up the cooking content on his personal IG page. He’s now at more than 1.9 million. Meanwhile, on TikTok, he launched the page @desmondthechef, which has grown to at least 1.5 million followers.

He recently recalled how she’d let him chop the onions and garlic as a child, and how that “impressed [his] love for cooking” early on.
