WATCH: DMX’s Youngest Son Plays ‘Ruff Ryders’ Anthem’ On The Piano

In a short clip, Exodus played the tune to DMX’s most known hit, “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.” He started by announcing the tribute and, after a few seconds, wrapped the tune with a sweet note for his late father.

“I love you Daddy,” the six-year-old said while looking at the camera.

Meanwhile, Desiree added her own message in the caption, writing, “Y’all should of known it was coming…A small tribute to his daddy! #ForeverX @dmx @therealswizz.”

Desiree shared the video on her personal Instagram page with over 121,000 followers. As of Friday, Exodus’s tribute had over 12,000 likes and over 1,000 comments.

On The Shade Room‘s Instagram, the clip caused a wave of nostalgia, resulting in over 266,000 likes and nearly 8,000 comments, primarily filled with support and praise for Exodus.

“DMX Would have been in the background yelling “Stop drop, get them down open up shop , oh no , this how rough riders” 😭😭😭😭🥺😥 Rip DMX,” @zodiac_34lovly wrote.

“I wanted to bark…but instead I cried,” @tempesttheterrible wrote.

As mentioned, Desiree gave birth to Exodus in August 2016, but she and X had been linked for nearly a decade before he died in 2021.

As of today, her Insta-profile continues to reflect the love she holds for the beloved rapper. A few scrolls in there are photos and videos of DMX posing with her or interacting with Exodus.

On his two-year death anniversary on April 9, she wrote, “You left this world today, but not my heart, missing you.”

Amid grieving her fiance’s death, Desiree has also had to pay close attention to their son’s health. In a 2022 episode of “It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper,” the mother revealed Exodus still has “stage 3 kidney disease” that required her to keep his “potassium down.”
