Donald Trump has been handing out pardons left and right. Right after he cleared Todd and Julie Chrisley of fraud and tax evasion, NBA YoungBoy hit up social media to thank him for giving him one, too. Chicago’s Larry Hoover also recently received a pardon from the president.

NBA YoungBoy Reacts After Trump Issues Presidential Pardon
NBA YoungBoy dropped a message on his Instagram Story expressing gratitude to Donald Trump for granting him a pardon. Additionally, he mentioned being thankful for the fresh start as it gives him the opportunity to lock in on his future.
“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist. This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future. I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this. I’m grateful. I’m Focused. I’m Ready.” NBA YoungBoy wrote.
YoungBoy, legally known as Kentrell Gaulden, pleaded guilty in November 2024 to his involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme in Utah. According to the Associated Press, the rapper confessed to multiple crimes—specifically, two counts of third-degree identity fraud, two counts of felony forgery, and six counts of unlawful pharmacy conduct. For the rest of the charges, he entered a “no contest” plea.
As TSR previously reported, the court decided to reduce his four felony counts to misdemeanors. Instead of sending him to jail, the judge ordered him to pay a $25,000 fine. Even though prosecutors accused NBA of operating a scheme from his own home, the court still gave him permission to return after the hearing. At the time, District Judge Spencer Walsh explained that he suspended his prison sentence because he still had another legal case pending in the state. However, he walked free on April 26, 2025, after serving 11 months of his original 23-month sentence.
