Robert De Niro Welcomes Seventh Child At 79 Years Old

Robert De Niro might be 79, but that hasn’t stopped him from welcoming his seventh child, the award-winning actor’s representative confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday.

De Niro himself said in an interview with ET Canada Monday that he “just had a baby.”

However, the spokesperson did not share the name or sex of the Golden Globe winner’s new arrival.

Additionally, it’s speculated that the child’s mother is De Niro’s current girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. According to Page Six, Chen was spotted with a protruding baby bump last month.

Hear what the 79-year-old actor had to say about fatherhood and learn more about his ever-growing family below.

Who Is The Child's Mother And What Is Her Relationship To Robert De Niro?

The newborn child’s mother is speculated to be De Niro’s current girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, who showed her baby bump on a dinner date with pals Billy Crystal and Harvey Keitel last month, according to a video obtained by X17onlineVideo.

De Niro was first romantically linked to Chen, described by Page Six as a New York-based martial arts instructor, in 2021.

The two celebrated the Oscar winner’s 78th birthday together in France, according to Page Six.

The two first worked together on 2015’s “The Intern” and were pictured on a trip to Spain the following year.

De Niro's Other Children, Women In His Life Past & Present

The 79-year-old actor reportedly shares seven children with four different women.

He’s been married twice, sharing Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46 — with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, and two children — Elliot, 25, and Helen, 11 — with ex-wife, Grace Hightower.

He’s also a father to twins Julian and Aaron, 27, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, according to Page Six.

De Niro’s newest addition makes for child No. 7.

All six of his previous children are biracial and born to Black mothers.

Thoughts On Fatherhood At 79: Robert De Niro Reflects

De Niro, whose upcoming film “About My Father” is set for release on May 26, discussed fatherhood in a recent interview with ET Canada on Monday.

De Niro explained that he believes “in being loving with [his] kids.” However, he understands that he has to also “be stern about stuff.”

“I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice,” he said.

He continued.

“And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”

De Niro went on to say that his 11-year-old daughter, Helen Grace, gives him “grief sometimes.” However, that “adores her.”

“You know, my kids disagree with me at times, and they’re respectful. My daughter, she’s 11, she gives me grief sometimes and I argue with her. I adore her, but, you know.”

The actor concluded by hinting at his newest addition.

“And my youngest now, that’ll be more to come. But, that’s what it is.”
